At Kinovo, delivering tangible social value is at the heart of everything we do. Through our property services, we contribute to the well-being of communities and the environment, working closely with housing associations, local authorities, and clients across various sectors to drive lasting change.
Our focus on energy-efficiency, sustainability, and inclusivity ensures we create meaningful benefits for individuals, communities, and the planet.
We understand the importance of being more than just a service provider in social housing– we’re a partner committed to enhancing lives and contributing to local and global sustainability goals.
From installing air source heat pumps to providing energy-efficiency retrofits, insulation, EV charging solutions, and supporting disabled adaptation works, our team works collaboratively with customers and suppliers to maximise the impact of every initiative.
Kinovo has long-standing relationships with local authorities and housing associations, providing high-quality services to the social housing sector and beyond. We support more than 600,000 properties and schools across all 33 London Boroughs, delivering positive outcomes for both public and private sector clients.
Since the introduction of PPN 06/20, social value has remained central to our operations. With the government’s evolving Social Value Model and the increasing emphasis on sustainable and measurable outcomes, we continue to align our efforts to deliver meaningful impact in the communities we serve
“Creating social value is incredibly important to us, and it’s something we’ve been delivering for many years. The impact we have stretches far beyond the commercial value of our work, touching on the economic, practical, and emotional well-being of communities. From supporting local food banks and schools to community projects, we help make a real difference in the areas where we operate.”
Social Value refers to the additional positive impact an action or programme creates, beyond its direct commercial benefits. This impact can be seen in the well-being of the community, the environment, and society as a whole. While social value can be challenging to quantify, its presence is felt by those who benefit from it – individuals, communities, and wider society.
With the 2025 procurement reforms, social value remains a key priority, ensuring that public sector contracts deliver lasting benefits. Up to 30% of tender assessments continue to be allocated to social, economic, and environmental impact, reinforcing the expectation for businesses to provide measurable, long-term value to communities.
We measure and report on our social value through Thrive, a cloud-based platform designed to track, audit, and report on social value and broader ESG activities. Thrive integrates with the UK Government’s Social Value Model (PPN 06/20), providing us with a robust system to track and benchmark our contributions.
We align our activities with the government’s Social Value Model, which is based on five broad themes. At Kinovo, we focus on the following four:
We place great importance on the health, safety, and wellbeing of our employees. As an ISO 45001 accredited employer, we ensure robust health and safety policies and frequent training. Our commitment extends to providing an Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) offering mental health support, financial advice, and wellbeing initiatives.
By creating a happy and healthy workforce, we can achieve better outcomes for both our employees and the communities we serve.
Equality, diversity, and inclusion (ED&I) are core to our values at Kinovo. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds, including those with neurodivergent conditions, and make reasonable adjustments during recruitment.
As a Disability Confident employer, we actively encourage a diverse workforce and continue to promote equal opportunities for women and underrepresented groups.
Kinovo is proud to support local food banks, schools, and community initiatives. We’re deeply committed to improving the prosperity of the communities we work in and continue to build partnerships with organisations like Women in Social Housing (WISH) and the Chartered Institute of Housing to maximise our positive impact.
Through these partnerships and our ongoing dedication to social value, we are making a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals and communities.
