The Purdy team had the pleasure of joining Estuary Housing for The Big Woodgrange Spring Clean!
It wasn’t just your average clean up. The team, which included our Social Value Coordinator Fay Poddington and representatives from Estuary, Gallagher and Southend-on-Sea council, carried out litter picking around the estate, planted trees and plants in the community garden, and hosted an Easter Egg hunt for the children, who, as an extra treat got a visit from the Easter Bunny and their Shetland pony who stole everyone’s heart!
A representative from Estuary Housing says:
“What a team effort at Woodgrange Drive Estate for the #GBSpringClean!
Residents, our fantastic partners Purdy Contracts & Gallagher, Southend-on-Sea City Council, and the charming Patches the miniature pony all joined forces to make a real difference.
We collected almost 100 bags of rubbish and planted some lovely cherry trees. Plus, the Easter Bunny hopped by to say hello to the kids!
Huge thanks to everyone involved, especially residents and sponsors Purdy Contracts, Gallagher and Tesco for helping the Easter bunny with the egg donations.
Well done to Fay and a huge thank you to Contract Manager Gary Jarram for generously donating Easter eggs for the children’s egg.
