Sezen Ibrahim, Christabel Juguilon, Chloe Piper, Fay Poddinton (with special guest Sez’s son Koray!) had a brilliant day at the Woodgrange Estate in Southend, joining forces with Estuary Housing Association for their fantastic community social value project!
The day was all about bringing smiles to local families and making a real difference in the community. Together with colleagues from Estuary and members of the public, they rolled up their sleeves for flower and pumpkin seed planting, litter picking, and engaging children’s activities that had everyone laughing and getting involved.
It was lovely to see the children’s faces lighting up when the local ice cream man arrived with free treats for everyone! But what made us especially proud was contributing 20 essential back-to-school packs, generously donated by our Gary Jarram, packed with notebooks, pencil cases, pens and supplies to help local families prepare for the new school year.
For our Purdy team, it was incredibly rewarding to see the immediate positive impact we could have on the community. The conversations with residents and Estuary staff were brilliant, and some are already asking to join us at future events! These moments perfectly showcase what social value is all about – bringing people together and strengthening communities through genuine engagement and support.
A huge thanks to Estuary Housing Association for having us and to everyone who made the day such a tremendous success!
